Wow... that was fun. Well not fun, but rewarding you could say. I painted and painted and painted. IM PROUDDD!!! Everything really came together well and I did my best. I like to talk yea we all know that, I talk a lot but... talking in front of an audience definitely not as easy as dancing in front of an audience which I do a lot because of competition every month or so. I did it though, shaking and being a nervous wreck, but I did it! I kept my cool and I pretty much think I did a good job.
I really did not think I could do it honestly and now looking back I am very proud of myself and the fact that I didn't procrastinate at all because it helped me a lot! I really enjoy painting again and am happy that I've even improved the tiniest bit and hope to keep improving and loving it in the future.
To go through the rubric basically to review what I did and didn't do!
1. Four to Five Minutes:I can say yes! I timed myself 11 times running through and ranged from 4:45-5:05 when I timed.
2. Visual Component: I really tried hard and took at least 2 hours and 45 minutes to put the visual piece together and the visual process actually went on since week one because of the paintings so I really did put a lot of time and effort into the visual aspect.
3. Content: My content was pretty strong honestly and i think the only mistake I really made was having a really drawn out introduction, I feel like maybe the correct response could be "alright its enough" but other wise I really like how I handled the content I included especially the metaphor and transition of the mockingbird.
4. Organization: Other than the introduction being dragged out TEN OUTTA TEN my organization was #onfleek
5. Delivery: This is definitely one of the weakest points because I tried SO hard to present well and I practiced over and over for 3 hours each day for the three days leading up to my presentation and read and practiced just my script for days and days before and it's just that public speaking man.
Overall I feel that I pretty much deserved the grade I got but honestly I wouldn't say this if I didn't mean it but maybe another half point or full point added because I put at least a full 20 or more hours into just the presentation and at least six full hours of practice in being timed and listened to by my family and friends as an audience. i loved this project in the end and was glad that something so free turned into an amazing learning experience I plan to continue in the future!!!
